Wow it is nice and you have to make some more gems to decorate the Christmes tree,

This little 'gem' was rescued from the bottom of my kiln after yesterday's glass slumping disaster - a little sparkle that will be hanging on our Christmas tree.

OMG - this is my submission !! You'll have to watch the video!

The purple haze is the heat from the kiln.

This 'was' meant to be a small slumped bowl with different coloured glass xmas shapes to be fused within, and clever clogs me thought it would be a good idea to have the edge over the rim of the mold, to form a slight 'stand' at that end - needless to say I carried on with some work and forgot about the kiln!

I'd got it on manual settings and was supposed to be monitoring the ramp / heat process and timings to log - what a silly billy!

anyways, this is my very poor submission as I won't have another one done by todays deadline!

Not loking forward to clearing up the mess!! Plus looks like the mold has cracked too! (Off to dark corner to cry quietly) :-)

Hi Rubina, Glass slumping is done at a lower temperature than fusing. The best information I have found so far is at Warm Glass. Should be interesting :-)

Hi Diana, glass slumping very interesting and new for me. Is slumping and glass fusing has same technique? I have searched about it, but still have confusion. This work is awesome and must attempt in supervision of expert.
